Location: Stockholm, Sweden Project Type: Private Residential Villa SVECO’s Role: Integrated Design and Engineering Supervision
The villa represents an advanced synergy between modern architectural expression and precise engineering performance. The key challenge lay in integrating expansive glazed façades while maintaining high thermal efficiency suited to the Nordic climate. To achieve this, SVECO specified double-glazed, low-emissivity glass systems, supported by a lightweight steel-frame structure engineered to accommodate large openings, and complemented by advanced exterior insulation assemblies for superior thermal and acoustic control. Inside, the design adopts a graduated aperture layout, channeling daylight deep into the core zones while optimizing natural illumination and spatial balance. Engineered ventilation pathways ensure efficient heating and cooling distribution, complemented by automated lighting systems calibrated to solar orientation, occupancy, and ambient brightness levels. Key Technical Highlights:
• High-performance panoramic glazing with double glazing and low-E coating
• Lightweight structural system reinforced with steel at load-critical zones
• Multi-layer thermal and acoustic insulation in walls, roofs, and floors
• Intelligent lighting scheme integrating ambient, accent, and task lighting
• Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) ensuring air quality and energy efficiency
• Interior spatial organization enabling smooth transitions between functional zones while framing key landscape views
